Beacon Hill

The oldest hub of Bostonian wealth and privilege is on Beacon Hill, so named for the lighthouse that once stood there. The lion’s share of power and wealth are concentrated in Beacon Hill which hosts institutions like City Hall along with the majority of the Boston Brahmin families, families of wealth and prestige descended from Puritan settlers.

Despite their near uncontested control of most places of power and wealth the Technocracy has not been successful in bringing Beacon Hill under its control. This is owing to the long tradition of occultism amongst the upper classes, mostly Hermetic practices under the guise of Freemasonry, that has ensured that the Technocratic paradigm has never been as widely accepted in the neighbourhood as elsewhere. This often makes the residents of Beacon Hill seem shrewd but fundamentally backward in comparison to the more recent upstarts in Back Bay. Nonetheless, if a Traditionalist is looking for wealthy and powerful friends they are better off beginning with Beacon Hill. If you can manage to cut through the pretentious snobbery of course.
